Question 4. Who would be the audience for your media product?

Who would be the audience for your media product?

My ideal reader for my music magazine is going to be aimed at mainly females. They are going to be aged between around about 13-18. This is because my music magazines genre is pop and chart music and this age group is very attracted to this sort of music. This means they are going to be mainly interested in the well known artists such as One Direction, Little Mix, Jessie J, Pixie Lott, Justin Bieber, The Vamps etc.  The charts now are mainly dominated by females or boy bands of a young age which is targeted at females. My magazine could also appeal to a very small audience of males due to them also being interested in pop and chart music but the majority of my music magazine appeals to the female audience. If my audience age group is 13-18 they will still be in education, this means they'll either be in school or college. My audience will shop in places such as H&M, NewLook and Primark. There style will vary from wearing things such as jeans, leggings and skirts. They will also wear a variety of different tops starting from peplum tops down to just plain and simple vest tops. My audience will still be living at home in a house with there parents. When socialising my target audience will go out shopping with with friends, have girly days out, go to the park and cinema or simply just go to a coffee shop for a chat and a catch up. When spending money they will mainly buy things such as new clothes, makeup, hair products, shoes, a lot of the girly items. My audience is interested in a lot of bright, loud, colourful, interesting things that stand out and grab there attention. My audience will tend to be listening/downloading music on things such as Spotify, YouTube, Itunes and Sound-cloud.

I am going to do a small interview for my 'ideal readers.' I will be showing them my final products for my magazine to see what they think of it.

The questions I will be asking:

What do you think of my magazines?
      Would you buy this magazine?
Are the images, font and colour scheme appealing to you? Do they fit with the theme of the magazine?
Do you think YOU would read more of my magazines, is it aimed at the right audience?
Whats you favorite part of my magazine?
Is there anything you would change?
